This is dangerous -- I can walk to Rosenfeld's from our condo. Too many menu options and taste buds to accomodate. Of course, when it comes to Jewish delis, put 5 people at the table and you'll get 6 opinions on it. But the bottom line is that this place is a real deal, all the way around. I've had the corned beef, pastrami, and brisket (really a dry roast beef). Saving up for the tongue (and to honor my grandfather). I really like the options on sandwich sizes (amount of meat). Lots of sides and ridiculous dessert options to play with, although I don't think of matzoh ball soup as a summer beach taste.

Wife and I got our Deli On today and boy did that hit the spot !! We both had "cups", of matzoh ball chicken soup, more like a bowl size w/ a baseball size ball, shredded chic, and some carrots,Yum. She had Pastrami,I had the CB Rueben. Both nice sized, fresh rye.Side o fries as Knish factory in Coney Island who supplies them burnt down recently.Pickles were comp on the table, drank Pepsi's. $45. We both grew up in NYC,so price not a shocker, you'd pay nearly 40 just for sandwiches these days. The deli is small, seating inside for about 12,but they have covered outdoor seating for more including bigger groups. They have table service, they have a classic take out counter, they cater and they deliver. I think they need a bigger place, and I feel they need to shine up the place a little. One star lost, but for now,the food is what counts. I'll be back, probably to take out for a family deli feast, when I need a break from all the seafood !!!

Everything that's right about a Jewish deli. The sandwiches are perfect and the pickles are addicting.

What a wonderful experience this was! I grew up eating at the famous Cantor's in the Fairfax area of Los Angeles, and this was easily as good! The matzo ball soup is to die for--perfectly seasoned with lots of chicken. The Schlepp sandwich (triple decker with pastrami, corned beef, and brisket) with Russian dressing was awesome--the rye bread is so soft and fresh, the meat was tender and tasty, the dressing superb. The service was fast and friendly -- we were in and out in no time.

Fuhgedaboudit! My first, and probably last, visit was a disappointment. I grew up on good Jewish deli in Brooklyn, and what I had the other day did not even come close. The corned beef sandwich had a cut of meat I'm not familiar with. It was dry with no taste whatsoever. I was expecting a nice soft brisket corned beef with melt in your mouth taste, but such was not to be. My wife ordered the stuffed cabbage, which is one my favorite dishes, but what we got was not even close to a Jewish style stuffed cabbage that I am used to. The cabbage was tasteless, the filling had more rice than meat, and the meat had absolutely no flavor. The sauce should have been a nice sweet and sour tomato based sauce, but was just a plain tomato sauce. My wife did rave about the potato pancakes, but I tasted them, and although tasty, they were dripping with oil. They were probably deep fried, which is not how I would expect my potato pancakes to be prepared. The green beans that accompanied the dish were tasteless and mushy, like frozen green beans. I'm not looking to be critical, but I'm just reporting the facts. After the hype on TV with the great looking visuals, I guess I was expecting more than they could deliver. One other thing. After we ordered, I asked the waitress if we would be getting pickles, and she said enthusiastically, "Oh yes, I'll be bringing them out." She brought out 4 little gherkins looking very lonely in a very large bowl. This looked really cheap and immediately made a bad impression on me even before I got my food. The fact that I had asked for pickles should have alerted her, but I guess they have their rules: 2 gherkins per customer. I never even got a slice of a regular sour pickle, as I would in any any diner or coffee shop. Not a way to run an expensive Jewish deli. Just my humble opinion,.

My boyfriend and I decided to visit for dinner based on Yelp reviews. We sat at an outdoor table and were welcomed by the owner just as we sat down. We were given a bowl of pickles with a pickled tomato to snack on as we looked over the menu. Both were tasty and a nice departure from the bread that is served everywhere these days. We both ordered a cup of matzo ball soup. The soup was good, not too salty (which was nice). It included carrots, noodles, chicken and onions in addition to the giant matzo ball. For our entree we ordered the 16oz pastrami sandwich to share. The pastrami was delicious and the bread was AMAZING! We opted for the seeded rye instead of the marbled rye. It was moist with a crispy crust-so good. As a side, we ordered 2 potato latke pancakes (with sour cream)...AMAZING!!!! I wish I could make these at home. They were definitely worth the calories. I highly recommend. As if the soup, sandwich and latkes weren't enough, we decided to try the dessert. This is where things get even better. The owner encouraged me to take a look inside to check out the selection of desserts. After a few minutes, he came in to see how I was doing. Of course I couldn't decide on what to get, so he offered to make something amazing-and he did!!!! He took a piece of Babka, grilled it on both sides to warm it up so it was almost caramelized on each side, topped it with a large scoop of vanilla ice cream then drizzled it with chocolate sauce and garnished the plate with whipped cream. Now, I have had my share of desserts, and I'm quite new to Jewish food, however this was quite possibly one of the most amazing desserts I've ever had!!!! I mean absolutely unbelievable! It was the perfect way to top off a delicious dinner. We both enjoyed our meal and will definitely return. They serve breakfast all day as well and the menu looks yum. The owner was genuinely friendly, taking the time to chat with us for a bit before and after our meal. This place is a great new addition to OC!

This food is awesome. Fresh bread with every sandwich. We ate the following (large) sandwiches over two days: Pauls Traditional Ruben, Great Chicken Salad, Good Turkey, filling and cranberry, Great Hot Dog, with all the toppings, Great If i lived in OC, I would be 300 lbs eating at this place all the time.

Really happy to see this deli in OC. We tried it on a Sunday only an hour before closing; the place was packed. Inside seating is limited to a few tables but I overheard that there may be more seating coming upstairs. The outside seating will help out when the weather turns warmer. We tried the Turkey Reuben with sauerkraut vs. coleslaw. They were huge sandwiches with lots of turkey. The Russian dressing was very tasty making the sandwich one of the best we've had. We tried the black and white cookies, just to complete the Seinfeld experience, and found them to be very tasty as well. There's lots to try on the menu, much of which I'm not familiar with but willing to try. They are newly opened and still get getting their rhythm down, so give them some time to work out the kinks. They have their own parking lot around back or you can park in Dead Freddies.

Authentic Jewish deli. Good quality and large portions but not cheap. Great selection of meats and salads. Breakfast available too

The customer service is extraordinary and I hear the pickled herring is very good too! The backstory: my father in-law's birthday was this week and I wanted to get him something he'd really enjoy, but what do you get for a sixty five year old man that seems to have it all?? Perplexed, I tried to recall important details from all of our conversations over the last couple years I've known him, and what they could reveal to me about his likes and dislikes. Well, what stood out to me the most, was how often he'd talk about growing up in a mainly Jewish neighborhood in Friendship Heights, and how he LOVED eating at the Jewish delis. He especially loved ordering the pickled herring. Fifty something years later, Dad had retired to Ocean City, but because of an illness, isn't as active and therefor hadn't had a chance to try the delicious food at Rosenfeld's. I, not knowing anything about Rosenfeld's at the time either, living in another city, had planned to order some pickled herring off the internet and just have it sent to his house in time for his birthday. But, after scouring gourmet food websites, I started second guessing whether or not he wouldn't just prefer freshly homemade pickled herring, and with the rave reviews I read about Rosenfeld's on Yelp, I made a call to the deli and explained my "pickle" of a situation. The person who answered the phone, whose name I sadly don't recall, was so understanding and helpful, he volunteered to have my father in-law's gift delivered to his home with a card saying happy birthday! But that wasn't the end to this excellent customer service experience...on the day my order was to be delivered, I got a call from a very nice woman telling me she'd tried delivering the food twice already, but no one had come to the door. I was so impressed that she went out of her way twice in one day, and that leaving it on the porch was just not an option. With a quick call to my in-law's, I was able to find out Dad was home, but unable to walk anymore, couldn't get to the door. Without telling him about his surprise, I was able to get an ETA for when my mother in-law would be home. I called the nice woman from Rosenfeld's back and explained how Mom stepped out and would be back in an hour. I insisted on how she didn't need to wait and could just leave the package on the porch, but she was so kind and understanding and patient she said she'd wait and go back in an hour. An hour later I called Mom and Dad's and my father in-law answered the phone on the first ring. The excitement in his voice was unlike anything I'd ever heard. "Guess who delivered a birthday gift to me?" My father in-law said... After our conversation, I spoke with my mother in-law who went on to say how thoughtful I was and how much my father in-law loved his gift. He loved it so much, he was asking her for a fork within seconds of receiving his one pound container of herring, and said that he'd been to a lot of Jewish delis over the years, but Rosenfeld's was the best! Thanks so much!!!!!

When a restaurant becomes the go-to spot with a family that's been coming to the beach for years, you know it must be good. Sandwiches are great, pickles are awesome, deserts are huge and delicious. Great alternative to the regular beach fare!

Food was tasty, but outrageously over priced. Husband and I ordered breakfast and a corned beef sandwich to go and spent $65 +. We wanted to take a loaf of rye bread back to our place, but it was $8.95!!! Seriously?!

A meal here is one of the culinary highlights of our visit to the Delaware Shore. The matzo ball soup and corned beef are terrific. Don't be surprised if you want to order multiple items from the extensive menu. Service (waitress Cindy) is warm and friendly. The kids enjoyed French toast and waffles. Note: The closing hour listed here is incorrect. Closing (at least on Saturday) is at 8:30 p.m. A second location is supposed to open in Rehoboth Beach in September 2015. Don't leave this area without a visit.

Breakfast. Bagel planter was an excellent choice. Enough lox for two. All ingredients were fresh. The tomatoes really make a good lox and bagel stack. Also notable were the pancakes (dinner plate size) and the turkey bacon. We arrived around 10a on a Sunday. We have heard they can be slow when they are busy. I think we hit the best time to get in and out without a delay. Staff was friendly and courteous including with the kids. They have beautiful desserts they make there and several sandwich options for lunch that look good. Nothing to lose here but your appetite.

Whenever we're in Ocean City for a weekend, lunch from Rosenfeld's is an absolute. I always order the Deli Style Reuben (pastrami instead of corned beef). It's a huge sandwich, tremendous value for the money. What makes it special is the quality of the pastrami. The pastrami at Rosenfeld's will make pastrami at your local sandwich shop taste like pre-wrapped Oscar Mayer lunchmeat. The meat is so tender, it literally falls apart in your hand. The rye bread is perfectly grilled and the sauerkraut, cole slaw and dressing are nicely proportioned, never letting it be forgotten that the pastrami is the star of the sandwich. On top of the quality food, the folks behind the counter at Rosenfeld's are, without exception, always warm and friendly. The place is always busy, and just one meal there tells you why.

Bagels didn't seem fresh or crusty just kind of undercooked (if their made in house) smears didn't taste very good. Rather go to Duncan Donuts for a bagel

Excellent kosher-style food down by the ocean. Everyone at our table had a different sandwich and everyone walked away content!

My Husband is a Ruben fanatic...he says this was the best he has EVER had. That is really saying something. The cheesecake was rich and creamy and the eclair was in his words "the best dessert I have ever had". I am a baker...but he was not incorrect on that statement. Pretty amazing. I think we may have to move here. :)

Real good triple decker "Schlepp " sandwich. $14.95. Meat steamed just right. Brisket was amazing! My one minor beef was rye bread that was on stiff side. Owner Warren said it was just made 3 am today. My theory is it MUST'VE been exposed to the open air elements! (Perhaps that ocean air did it in, lol !) (Or I was inadvertently served it) Owner replied that it's a "Jewish " rye, and supposed to be like that . I also had him feel my bread. I've had tons of Pechter's , & other Jewish ryes, over the years. And, fresh baked should NEVER taste a day old. Something just got lost in translation, that's all. The replacement rye was just right. The incident left a bad taste in my mouth, tho. (Hence, 3 stars, instead of 4). Tammy, the manager came to my table, & nicely suggested I order the marble rye next time, as it holds up better. I'm just hoping for some acknowledgement from the owner, that I accidentally got served the stiff tasting version. (Unless u feel the "exposed" bread is your norm) Would be pleased to hear that it it must've inadvertently got exposed into the open all day. As, my replacement rye was soft , & super fresh tasting :)!!!! I'd love to upgrade u to that 4th star. He is a hands on owner, & brought me replacement rye bread that was super fresh! What a world of difference! !! Warren didn't seem in agreement about my little "beef", but I'm glad it was corrected. Cuz, there's no way "just baked " bread should taste day old. I'm a tough, but very fair critic. Matzoh ball soup broth has gr8 chicken flavor. Pickles served were a downer for me, cuz they weren't those half sour /full sour types. Instead, they were Vlastic -style tasting sweet dills.. (However, I DID notice a small bucket of big, sour garlic looking pickles, behind the deli case) (I suggest requesting one of those) (likely worth it, even if extra charge :)

Placed a large order last week while on vacation for takeout to bring to my family on the beach. Everything was great! Very traditional Matza ball soup and the corn beef reuben is very yummy on marbled rye. I vacation in OCMD for a week every year and will definitely return next time!

We were so lucky this place was on the corner of 63rd street and we were staying on 63rd. A couple of my buddies came back with a reuben that looked amazing so I had to go get some sandwiches. I got a turkey club on white, turkey club on rye and a Papa Joe's reuben (half corned beef, half pastrami). They were piled high with meat and I instantly became the most popular person at the party. The second time we went for breakfast and got 3 turkey sausage egg and cheese on a bagel. They were excellent, so cheesy and the turkey sausage tasted like pork sausage. The woman working there was funny, made fun of me for being hung over the second time! This place is a gem.

Puts the other sandwich shops (you know the ones) to shame. My new go-to for subs and crafty sandwiches. They do not skimp on the meat, that's for sure.

I went in to pick up various things to take home for dinner for several people. Here was my order: 1 macaroni and cheese order, one pizza bagel, i chix noodle soup, 1 pastrami/corned beef sandwich with coleslaw and Russian dressing, one stuffed cabbage dinner. Here is what i got: about three tablespoons of tiny elbow mac, greasy but almost no cheese. I ended up adding it to the soup. a decent pizza bagel, a quart or so of chix noodle soup where broth was tasty but chix was REALLY overcooked, like shoeleather. a nice looking sandwich but without cole slaw or russian dressing, two rather small pieces of stuffed cabbage , nothing with it (and i'd asked for the dinner!) all tolled cost approx 49.00! You can judge for yourself. I was the only customer there.

Mouthwatering Breakfast, Lunch & Suppers Great service, really friendly staff, terrific food, but best of all, they have the most awesome desserts. Try eating their jumbo Éclairs. It will make you cry (for joy) :) In town for a 4 day weekend. We found Rosenfeld's on the 1st day and had a great lunch. We visited 3 more times over the weekend. I think breakfast might be their best meal. I won't go into details in this review. Suffice it to say, if you know what it's like to eat good Jewish Deli food, you will love eating at Rosenfeld's.

Very good authentic Jewish deli outside of NY. Had matzo ball soup, just like bubby made. Corned beef was perfect. Food was excellent all around. The only reason it didn't get 5 stars is becasue it was a little cramped and dirty inside. Overall a good experience and we will be back.

loved their food. Unlike most delis I've been to, they give you the option of choosing how big of a sandwich you want, starting at 8 ounces of meat. My wife and I split a 12 oz turkey sandwich and it was great! Turkey was roasted perfectly and served on nice, fresh rye bread. The deli was also a nice change of pace from all of the seafood we ate (and loved) in O.C. We went back the next morning, on our way home, for breakfast and I had the lox and bagel. Very nice portion of lox (just right, actually, not too much nor too little). My wife had an omelet with corned beef hash which she also seemed to like.

Rosenfeld's is all ways a popular choice in our family... We always have an amazing meals and great service. My daughter went to Rosenfeld's Jewish delicatessen with my parents in law and her cousins and they said it was outstanding! The three kids had matzo ball soups and a copped liver for the appetizer the my parents in law shared a Ruben sandwich which was great for the both of them to share! Last time I went was about a month ago my meal was just as good! Regulars we are!

This was by far the best sandwich I've ever had in my ENTIRE life. The food is fresh, delicious and the highest quality. I had the corned beef Reuben. Not exaggerating, best sandwich EVER. The eclairs are also to die for. Service was friendly, fast and a pleasure. Can't wait to go back ....on a weekly basis

We went to Rosenfeld's three times during our 11 day vacation. Here are my observations: - Very good sandwiches (we loved the Reuben)--we wished we could try more! - Good bagels - Great waffles - Very good orange juice - Coffee is not good - Delicious pickles - Absolutely wonderful blintzes!!!! We did not get to try the desserts, but they looked very good. A couple more things: they have private parking, which is great because it would be hard to find a spot in their location otherwise; could use some bathroom cleaning.

When we arrived in Ocean City, I felt the beginnings of a terrible cold. All I wanted was my bed and comfort food. On our second to last day, I saw the words "Jewish deli" on a sign and insisted that we go there for breakfast. A cup of matzoh ball soup and half a deli style Reuben later, I was feeling better. The prices seem like typical Ocean City expensive but it was the best meal we'd had during our trip. We've got only one day left and I bet we'll be back before we leave.

THis is not going to be the same as Katz deli in NY, but considering the choices at the beach this place is awesome. I loved my pastrami sandwich. I thought the atmosphere was nice and the people were nice. Portions were nice size, but I was hungry and could have eaten more after my 1lb sandwich. Maybe that was a fluke. I would definitely go here again. Loved it.

I went there for breakfast not sure what to expect. I am gluten free and finding that in ocean city is hard. Not only were they super nice but they had gluten free bread. I was able to have the best gluten free egg sandwich and is was soo good. I would recommend this place to anyone.

This review is for their corned beef and pastrami sandwiches only. A group of friends and I stayed a block away from this place and came here for lunch two days in a row. I had their Papa Joe's corned beef and pastrami combo and The Schlepp (brisket, corned beef and pastrami). Portions are decently large, so I shared. Sandwiches were delicious and fresh! You can add coleslaw, russian dressing and cheese. Service was quick and everyone there was super friendly. Don't recommend their iced coffee though. Tasted watered down..

Great outdoor eating spot. We had sandwiches and one of us chose a more dinner type meal. Service was swift and friendly. They also serve breakfast all day and the French toast at another table looked incredible. We plan to go back for breakfast! Plenty of parking.

Delish as always. Got the Ruben , corned beef was tender and not fatty. Kids got turkey club and hubby got the special. Sandwiches were HUGE.. We learned its best to spilt them as WAY too much to eat an entire one by yourself .

Awesome find in OC! Portions are HUGE (seriously) for the price. Lots of menu options. Great for breakfast (served all day) or lunch. Seating outside is a great option. Friendly & efficient servers. Owner even comes around to check on tables! What I tried: *mushroom barley soup is to die for!! *sandwich with turkey, stuffing & cranberry is awesome! Again, HUGE! *Big Macher (fries topped w/ beef, roasted tomatoes, cheese) so yummy, very filling! Would definitely recommend you try this restaurant!!!

What a find! One cold day visiting Ocean City we took 2 kids and went to the deli. We ordered a large matzah ball soup and shared it three ways. My husband got a beautiful ruben and was kind enough to share it with me. I got a stuffed cabbage roll which was spot on like my grandma made. The pickles were perfect, and we all enjoyed a bit of black and white cookie for dessert. The hardest part was deciding what to get and knowing it would be a long time until we could come back.

Love it! My son loves the pancakes and cannot get through both of the short stack - so much food! Matzo ball soup - delicious and a lot of it! The chicken in it is tasty, broth yummy, too! Corned beef is lean and delicious, too! True Jewish deli even serves pickles while you wait. We leave satiated and happy. This was a great discovery!

Great Pastrami sandwich!!! However, the 3 meager thin slices of kishka was disappointing. Need to give more hearty slices, though the taste was good.

Value. I guess that's the only way to describe the food here. I hope that they do well and the price doesn't discourage others from trying the sandwiches and everything else. Why would you pay that for an Eclair? Try and and see. My only hang up is I have to get the sandwiches to go and I wish I'd remember to tell them to put the slaw on the side or give me a bib.

Overrated. Boring food and long food waits during slow night. Seafood pasta tasted like a microwave was involved. Rock fish under spice. Overall too much $$ for the overall experience. ...

We stopped here for lunch on Saturday. They just seated quite a few people and we had to wait 20 minutes for a table. They did warn us the kitchen was running slow, but it took forever to receive our food, probably over 30 minutes. They also ran out of ice and sent many people on an 'ice run'. We ordered 3 sandwiches and a waffle. The corned beef was very good, well cooked, moist with good flavor. The prices are Ocean City high. I might come back under better circumstances - maybe it was early season troubles.

I was so excited when my daughter told me about having a genuine Jewish Deli in Ocean City. I had just moved back to town from NC and was looking forward to reacquainting myself with my ethnic food favorites! I ordered a carry out of a Coddie, a 10 oz. (smallest) Corned Beef on Rye, and FF. $18.50 later, I'm on my way home. The Coddie, which I hadn't had in years was cold in the middle and as dry as anything. I know what a good Coddie is supposed to look, feel and taste like and I was very disappointed. The 10 oz. Corned Beef unfortunately, was more fragments of meat than slices and was extremely greasy, like leftover meat was thrown on the grill with some oil to heat it up. The french fries were good but I didn't need $4.99 worth of fries! I'm hoping that on another day this order would have been better, but even if it was everything I had hoped, $18.50 for a "small" sandwhich and fries and a $1.99 Coddie was a bit much.

(07/09/2013) As the sign announced "Challa-lewya! There's finally a Jewish deli in Ocean City." Come to think of it, it might be the only Jewish deli in a 150 mile radius. Just for a nosh, we got a 1/2 lb. of whitefish salad, herring filets in wine, and a couple of poppy seed bagels (baked in-house, first batches come out of the oven around 8:00 am daily). The Whitefish Salad was heavily dressed with mayo, well-seasoned, rather "wet", but tasty; great schmeared on a chewy, puffy bagel, dense-crumb; herring were huge filets, milder on the acid than the jarred varieties, nice light pickling spice, mustard seeds evident. Too many things to try on this first quick stop, couldn't fit it all in: enormous pastries and desserts (hamentaschen, eclairs, babka); all your favorite deli meats (corned beef, pastrami, tongue, brisket, lox); and some of your favorite home-style dishes like your bubbe used to make (if you had one or if you adopted your friend's bubbe if you're a goy), cheese blintzes, potato latkes, stuffed cabbage. They're also a full service restaurant, haven't tried that side yet, but def looking forward to the "The Big Macher (Rosenfeld's take on Jewish nachos): thick-cut steak fries topped with pulled beef brisket, roasted tomatoes, carmelized onions, shredded cheese with a side of gravy. The prices are definitely more expensive than you've seen in other cites that have Jewish delis, but if you're in the O.C. and gotta have your nosh, this is the place to go.

Not a gem at all. Overprice for quality of food. You get canned soda and are charged for each can. We asked for lemonade or fruit punch and was told that they did not have that but saw something pink being pointed into glasses. When we asked what it was, another waitress said pink lemonade! Really????? And that had free refills. Waitress spilled soda all over my lap. No apologies. Kids hot dog was like a piece of leather. Not good for kids. We did enjoy the blueberry bread pudding for dessert but it cost us close to $8.00 for that, but we had to try it knowing we would never come back for anything else. One star for my wife's sandwich and one for the bread pudding.

Was so excited to see a Jewish Deli open up in OC. Unfortunately, it won't be open for too long as it was a terrible experience. The bagels were doughy and the lox spread was awful. I asked for an everything bagel which had barely any toppings on it. It was like I was eating a plain bagel with a few poppyseeds sprinkled on top. The owners plopped an ungodly amount of lox spread onto the bagel that I probably could have spread it onto 4 additional bagels, and charged me about $8. Such a rip off since I only wanted one bagel with lox spread. Would def not recommend this place nor would visit again. Do yourself a favor and travel a bit north to Uber Bagels as they are much better and cheaper!!!

Great sandwiches and soup. Friendly staff. Very welcoming. Corned beef was lean but not too. Mushroom barley soup was rich and filling. The real star was the Reuben. "Best meal since arriving in Maryland" - he said. Check it out!

Wanted to eat lunch here today, had to abort due to all the flies. Flies were everywhere and began crawling on us as soon as we walked in. The staff seemed oblivious.

$18 and change for 2 bagel sandwiches! That's right. Sausage egg and cheese on everything and bacon egg whites and cheese on everything. Wanted garlic but they didn't have. Asked to have bagels grilled and was asked "how can I do that" and this wasn't some kid asking. Got coffee at dunkin donuts and opened wrapper to find they didn't even cut the sandwich. Expected somthing special (for that ammount) but was disappointed when the taste of sandwich was not that good. Rip off!

We stopped here for lunch. Food was ok. My fiancé ordered The Lenny Kravitz. For a special on the menu, you would think they would use fresh fried chicken instead of pre-cooked frozen chicken.

I RARELY give anything 5-stars and Rosenfelds isn't receiving it because I'm Jewish, they get 5 stars for legitimate reasons: 1: Exterior/Interior - OC exterior, Jewish Deli interior. 2. Lox and Eggs was heavy on the lox, eggs were fluffy and done nicely. 3. Potato Latkes weren't too strong, they were VERY tasty, had a nice crunchy outside. 4. They made my daughter a light and fluffy waffle, they didn't need to but they were happy to. 5. THE ULTIMATE DECIDER - I had a Pastrami Reuben. The meat was cut PERFECTLY, point cut or flat cut matters not, it was cut almost at a shave, was steamed hot and griddles at the end for a minor crisp. The Thousand Island dressed the sandwich in perfect proportion and the cheese melted but its integrity not ruined. Because of the service, genuine nature, relaxed and fun atmosphere, kid friendly environment, walkability, and high standards, I am PLEASED to give Rosenfelds 5-Stars!

Where to start...Everything, every time has been amazing. Warren is so friendly and attentive. We've had breakfast, sandwiches, soups, and desserts its all fantastic. Going for breakfast? Try the Lenny Kravitz. Rainy out? Get a Reuben and Matzah ball soup. Hot out? Lox and cream cheese is so cool and dang delicious. Whatever you get it won't be wrong.

I've been twice now- once for carry out and once to eat in. In both cases the food was great but so was the wait. I don't know what the hold up is for deli food. We waited over 20 minutes just for someone to take our order and there couldn't have been more than four other tables seated. With only two visits so far, I'm willing to admit it could have been just two off days. With that said, the hot pastrami is everything a hot pastrami should be. The Reuben is fantastic. Onion rings- some of the best I've ever had- crisp, breaded- not the slightest bit greasy. Everything we've had has been excellent. So, if you have the time, and the money (not exactly the cheapest lunch on the island) definitely worth a try. Interesting side note- those of us old enough to remember will get a kick out of the fact the deli is in the old Sunshine House building!

For me, this place evokes found memories of easier times. My folks and grandparents used to take me to delis in NYC and southern MD when I was a kid. And my wife and I got engaged at our favorite deli in NoVa (though the food at this deli is better--read on). Service: Warm, friendly, efficient. Venue: Lovely patio in front. Tiny indoors. I wonder what it would be like to dine here during the winter? Food: Delicious! I've been to my share of Jewish delis (well, I was raised Jewish...). Matzo ball soup is excellent; matzo balls are flavorful though, oddly, round! Most matzo balls I've seen are cloud-like in appearance. Still, they were fluffy and excellent. Don't tell my mother but they may have been better than her's. Had a sandwich with corn beef, brisket, and pastrami. Terrific quality of meat. My sole complaint, as with every restaurant in OC, is it's a little pricey compared to other Jewish delis I've been to--not that there are others in OC! But then you're paying for the location and so they can turn a buck despite the seasonal foot traffic.

Had a lovely lunch today, food was wonderful I had Turkey pastrami and split tan order of onion rings with a friend. Go hungry or prepare to take home a little for tomorrow. Did I mention the dessert? Yep a take home for me as well - bread pudding! Yum! (And then some!) next time the matzo ball soup!

Everything you could ask from a Jewish deli, and I nice break from fried food and pizza :) My husband had the turkey Reuben and I had the Robyn's salad sampler. Both were delicious. I swear the Reuben had about a pound of meat on it. My husband said it was the best thing he's eaten in OC this trip, and we've been doing a lot of eating! Servers were very friendly and Warren was walking around handing out bowls of pickles. Only warning - don't go inside to look at the desserts unless you've got room, cuz they look good!

Very happy to see a great deli in OC. Stopped by today to pick up some food to go. Service was great, friendly and complete. The food (eggs and reuben sandwich) was excellent with large portions.. I believe they will be a very popular year round restaurant.

Really very good deli. Was with a group and needed to be back at a conference with only 30 minutes for lunch. Server went above and beyond to make sure we all had food and were out the door in time. The pickles rock.

I wanted to write this a while ago, but couldn't due to being conflicted. This was originally a 4 star review, because they are just too nice for a true New York City deli. There need to be at least SOME rudeness...err, call it efficiency. We just never got that NYC vibe. Well, today, Mr. Rosenfeld asked us to vamoose and not camp on one of his tables during a late lunch rush...in a nice way, but he got his point across. That's worth another half star, and since Yelp doesn't do half stars, it's now a 5 star review. I LOVE IT! Full disclosure time: we've been there 6 or 7 times, and we all recognize each other, and the owner (Warren) greets us even before we sit down. This guy knows how to run a restaurant. Now, onto the food. This is a small place. Not just for the number of seats, but for the size of the kitchen. They make a lot of their own food, but some stuff they do import: like bagel dough made in Brooklyn and they cook the bagels on site each day. Something about that NYC water. I've had the turkey, corned beef, brisket, pastrami, and salami in several forms so far, and all of them left me wanting more...even after a 12oz sandwich. Rye bread is fantastic too. Other reviewers have mentioned that this place isn't cheap. No, it isn't, but worth it. Pickles. I'm not a fan of pickled anything, but the wife sure enjoys them. After our first experience there, Warren remembered that we didn't eat the tomato, and each time we've gone back since, the tomato has never reappeared, and in its place are additional pickles. They don't make their own pickles yet, but IIRC they get them by the barrel from somewhere in NYC...maybe the same place they get the bagels from? Dunno. Matzoh ball soup is excellent. No cannonballs here, light and fluffy all the way through. Hearty. Lox are NOT light and fluffy, and very flavorful and densely packed with salmony goodness. The Kugel is homemade, and it shows. Finally, the wife says the egg creams are very good. She has had several, and there is some variation between servers who make it, but its got good ingredients behind it. Parking is easy - there's more than you'd expect behind the T-shirt factory next door. Don't let the outside seating scare you off - they've got rain-shielding plastic bits now, and are preparing for year-round outdoor seating. There are a small number of indoor seats, but don't count on getting them until off season arrives. We will have many happy returns here. Also - the bathroom is huge. I don't mean like bring a SO in there for a quickie, I mean like there's enough room for 6 people in there to get busy. Glad the windows are opaque. :) But don't do that. FDA and health codes and stuff.

I am a Jewish Rosenfeld and was so excited when I saw this place; I had to go! The menu was authentic and left nothing to be desired. The lox platter was delicious and the coffee was great. The owner was there sitting customers and we chatted; he was extremely friendly and sold me some shirts. My only regret was finding this place on the last day of my vacation! You can get many different traditional Jewish foods here that you really can't find anywhere else. This deli is a gem!

A group of four of us went to Rosenfeld's looking for a nice brunch from a good Jewish Deli. They pride themselves on being the only Jewish Delicatessen in Ocean City, but truth be told the city would be no worse off without it. My omelette was cold and the cheese tasted fake and inedible. a feeling that resonated between the three of us that ordered eggs. The pancakes I also ordered were overdone, and have very few chocolate chips in them. The fourth of our party had Matzoh Ball Soup (which had no broth, oddly enough) and a mediocre corned beef sandwich. All in all I wouldn't recommend it to anyone.

Ah, to tell the truth... I have been anticipating the opening of Rosenfeld's for quite some time. The other day, I had some time, and took the plunge. I opt'd for the Hot Pastrami on Rye w/ Mustard. My buddy who I was with, ordered for me and asked for the bread toasted; this is where my tale of woe begins. He - my friend, also up'ed the size to the 12oz. Strami' for each of us, and ordered cheese on his , ech! If he had let me take control, I would of split a 12oz'er, or ordered two smalls, grabbed a couple pickles, 2 CelRay's & maybe a bag of chips... what I call a traditional set up; The way my Father & I or perhaps Brother have always done it. My gentile companion has a bit to learn about Jewish Deli's. I had to listen to him kvetch through the meal, thus my 3 stars. Here are my observations: 1) They use Saval Naval cut and are not shy about portions. A+ Mine was nice and fatty, I like that, my buddy who must prefer brisket cut (What a rube) was concerned about the fat, he detracted me from a proper analysis. 2) While Saval Mustard is on the counter, I had a Golden's pack in my bag. ? I have decided over the years that the Saval Mustard is a tasty choice & while I like Golden's too, the bait and switch was just plain odd. 3) The bread was very tasty, mine was toasted & while not my first choice, I could still feel the elasticity, through the crunch of the crust and the all around flavor was on point & It held together nice for the duration of the meal. A+ Even if you gave Rosenfeld's one star, It is still the only Deli serving Naval cut Pastrami in greater Ocean City. Is it done to perfection? There is always room for improvement, when my Father and Brother come to town next, I will be happy to take them and let sit in judgement. The overall service is good, there is plenty of parking and places to nosh, there is plenty more to order at the counter, although once I get past the Pastrami, I never get much further then the Bagel's & Lox. I look forward to a star update after my next visit, in the meantime, go grab a Strami' and write your own review.

I bought 13 sandwiches the other day. The Reuben And the hot pastrami were excellent. The meat was good however I didn't notice until After I left that every sandwich was on white or wheat bread. I asked for all roast beef orders to be on onion rolls and white sub rolls for everything else. We ordered onions on several and it wasn't done. When we ordered we asked for them to be labeled so we could pass them out. Not done either so as we went through them we realized they were all the same. Mayo lettuce and tomato even though we asked for different condiments and add ons. 11 out of 13 people got what they ordered. A little frustrating. I know it's a large order but it is very pricy too so you expect to get what you pay for. For $220 I would make a different choice next time.

Nice to find good deli in O.C. Pastrami sandwich was flavorful. But the chicken in a pot matzoh ball soup was terrible. The matzoh ball must have been frozen and then microwaved. The outer portion was ok, but the inner portion was grey and doughy. Not appetizing at all. I sent it back, but another prefab one came out. Stick with sandwiches. Waitress was so great. Attentive and friendly. For the price, they could at least provide chips with the sandwich.

The family sat down to some really good pickles and pickled tomatoes. Around the table we ordered the 12 oz pastrami, Challah french toast, Dana's turkey sandwich and chicken soup. Everything was excellent. Big portions, fresh ingredients. The staff were all very nice and happy to talk about the food. Both the dining area and behind the counter were clean and well maintained. We all got pie to go for dessert; coconut creme, banana creme, lemon meringue and chocolate creme. All pies were pretty good. We also took home leftovers from the pastrami and turkey sandwiches. It's difficult to find good places to eat in OC, though it's getting better. Rosenfeld's is in the good category. I would happily recommend to my friends and will be returning this week.

Who would have thought that a Jewish Deli in Ocean City would be good? Matzoh Ball soup hit the spot and the mushroom barley did the trick. The pastrami and brisket are as good as any NY deli and the service was excellent there was no room for desert but the table next to ours had the NY cheesecake and they were raving about it.

Excellent, everything you could hope for. Sandwiches were huge, but not overly filling. The pastrami Reuben was perfect and the marbled rye was grilled properly. Friendly staff, quick service. Will definitely be back every time I'm in OC. Oh yeah, the pickles are awesome too.

I was in OC last week and found this gem! It was excellent food (Rueben was amazing as were the pickles!!) and excellent service. Highly recommend it and will definitely be back on my visits to OC!!

Welcoming, friendly and wonderful food! This was our first trip and we came in for breakfast but I didn't want breakfast. They were very welcoming and offered to heat up Matzo Ball soup for us at 8am! They also brought us pickles that were great! We had the "for the birds" sandwich after our soup and was happy to see our 8oz sandwiches fit the bill. We'll be back for sure!

Stopped here for lunch after a long drive from NJ... And we really loved our meals... My daughters loved their ruben, waffle and chicken, and nachos... I loved my pastrami and corn beef... Loved the service, we talked about Oakland and Washington football game... Will be back...

Fabulous Jewish deli in OC. Friendly service and very good reubens. Wonderful desserts like noodle kugel and chocolate eclairs that are locally made.

Seriously?!

Really very good deli. Was with a group and needed to be back at a conference with only 30 minutes for lunch. Server went above and beyond to make sure we all had food and were out the door in time. The pickles rock.

My husband and I made a return visit. I had the whitefish platter and he had the herring platter. There was enough food on each plate, but it was so delicious that we stuffed every morsel in our mouths. Warning to come hungry or be prepared to take home food!

  • Fraeda L.

I was in OC last week and found this gem! It was excellent food (Rueben was amazing as were the pickles!!) and excellent service. The manager Tammy Dubin is fantastic and owner Warren Rosenfeld gave us a run down memory lane. Thank you to all for making it such a nice experience.

  • M L.

First visit here tonight, and I'm hooked :-) We have a condo out here in Ocean City and come out often. Being raised in New York, I'm always looking for a great Jewish deli and now we have one here in OC. I tried "the Schlepp", a large, delicious combo of thin sliced pastrami, corned beef, and brisket. I loved it. My wife had a turkey Reuben and she loved hers.We thought the prices were right in line with what we would expect and we will definitely be back.
